Flathead Lake House

This custom home is located on the Flathead Lake near Bigfork, Montana. The house was designed to blend rural architecture of Montana with contemporary European influences. Bermed into it’s hill crest site, it incorporates sustainable elements such as insulated concrete form construction, passive solar, daylighting and natural ventilation. It is pre-wired for future solar panel and wind generation installation. The open floor plan combines cozy, intimate spaces and open lofty areas. A variety of window choices – glass block, clerestory, sky lights and solar tube – provide the home with dynamic, ever changing natural light. Custom designed built-in furniture creates unique, personal spaces throughout.
